Kristina Lovaas is a curator, artist, writer, and educator based in Berlin. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Architecture at Technische Universität Berlin, where she has lectured on exhibition history and museum studies.

 

Her work includes guest curating at Museum Penzberg, where she curated Corita Kent: Where Have All the Flowers Gone, the second institutional exhibition of Corita Kent’s work in Germany, and co-curated MAGIC + COOL: Malerei der Jahrtausend. She is the co-founder of Lovaas Projects Munich and was previously Director of Artuner.

Her artistic work has been shown across Europe and the United States, including at the Pinakothek der Moderne and the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden. She is the author of 14 chapters and 16 fold-out sections in Imaginations of Venice (Hatje Cantz, 2025), and has contributed to several exhibition catalogues.

She holds a Meisterschülerin from the Städelschule Frankfurt and dual degrees from Cornell University.
